EARLY CROSS has an important announcement to share with you.
With regret, we must inform you that Mel has decide to retire as the lead singer of EARLY CROSS.
We entered into a hiatus due to her ill health, and have now respected her decision to step down. However, we are ready to announce that a new vocalist has taken up the torch and would like to issue a warm welcome to Leela.
Raised in Australia, Leela grew up performing in musical theatre and further studied the arts in New York where she honed her lovely voice.
We are convinced that all of our fans will gladly welcome her as a world-building member of the band from here on.
Having begun anew together with Leela, we are moving forward with alacrity. Emili Muraki, who has acted as photographer for such artists as Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth, and Glenn Hughes has kindly extended her talents to our renewed image, and we are hard at work on pre-production and recording while also preparing to return to the live scene.
Where 2018 has given us time to recharge and input ideas, we’ll be raising our pace in 2019 and focusing on output.
We are grateful for your ongoing support and look forward to continuing our journey together.
